Hologram type pos scanner

Abstract

PURPOSE: To evade an increase in size due to the expansion of a bar code read area by using a curved surface mirror as a reflecting mirror in an optical unit, and correcting the angle of a laser beam which is reflected by the curved surface mirror by an optical element. CONSTITUTION: The curved surface mirror 10 is provided in the optical unit 10, and the optical element 14 corrects an error in the angle of reflection of the laser beam by this curved surface mirror 12. Thus, the curved surface mirror 12 is used as the reflecting mirror in the optical unit 10. Consequently, the optical unit 10 is reducible in size, then the POS scanner is reduced in size to decrease the installation area of the POS scanner, thereby utilizing the precious space in a store more effectively.
